Automotive electronics by now is one of the most important innovation and growth factors in the world of automobiles. The number of electronic functions inside the vehicle is increasing rapidly to meet future economic, political, social and environmental challenges as well as customer’s demands.
Just to mention a few: Cars that are non-polluting, fuel efficient, safe, and on the other hand comfortable, providing entertainment features, easy to operate, affordable to purchase and use.

As a consequence, the assurance of quality, reliability and long-term supply of electronic components and systems can only be achived by a tight collaboration along the value chain in tackling the complexity at hand and meeting the severe specifications as to lifetime and cost-efficiency.

The 6th conference “competence in automotive electronics” addresses these issues on an international scale.
