KG):Mechatronic interfaces for x-by-wire systems in electrical vehiclesThe lecture „Mechatronic interfaces for x-by-wire systems in electrical vehicles” introduces a current development for a man machine interface in a “by wire” steering system. Under consideration of well known deduction rules, it is shown how the progressing electrification of the power train can also contribute to pull the topic “steer-by-wire” out of its technological niche. In this context the term “control level” is defined where products can be found which are already produced by KOSTAL for by-wire systems today. The steer-by-wire module whose technical concept will be introduced in this presentation, is also dedicated to this control level. Besides the illustration of the production-oriented design concept of this steering module the main components will be mentioned. These components are the steering torque sensor, the steering angle sensor and the feedback actuator, as well as the superordinated safety concept including the fallback level. The impact of steer-by-wire on the vehicle and the resulting contributions to active and passive safety will be announced in the outlook. |
